Helping women navigate midlife with courage and authenticity

Therapy for women in “the middle”

While midlife can be rich with beautiful milestones, it can also be full of new challenges. Whether you’re facing common peri/menopause symptoms like stress, anxiety and rage or feeling the effects of grief, fear and self-doubt, you’re not alone.

Maybe you’re…

  • juggling raising children and caring for aging parents

  • redefining your identity as an empty-nester

  • feeling isolated or tired of doing it all on your own

  • feeling loss or emptiness in your marriage or partnership

  • seeking purpose and connection in peer relationships

  • fearing your financial future, or

  • wondering why life just doesn’t look the way you thought it would by now.

Whatever brings you here, I’d like to help! Together, we can navigate the difficult moments, celebrate the wins and help you live into the truest version of yourself as you meet this season with confidence and joy.

Hi! I’m Marjorie, Licensed Professional Counselor and your guide to navigating midlife with confidence. Welcome!

As a woman in “the middle,” I’m aware it can be a confusing and sometimes frightening time. I’m learning, though, it’s also an opportunity for women to reimagine who we are and how we show up for ourselves and others.

In therapy, through reflection and curiosity, we can filter through what thoughts, beliefs and patterns of behavior are serving you and which you can put down so you can move through midlife and beyond with deep courage and authenticity.

You’re not alone.

  • Symptoms of depression and anxiety are common during the menopause transition.

  • Sleep disturbances (also common during midlife) can exacerbate or intensify these symptoms.

  • Good news! Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been proven effective in reducing the distress commonly associated with such symptoms and improving quality of life. (yay!)

Translation: You’re not losing your mind. I know it may feel that way, but you’re not alone in what you’re experiencing. Yes, the medical community has some catching up to do with regard to women’s health. However, the movement has arrived! Women in medicine and the community at large are stepping up and calling out for more research and better tools. Together, we can build the most effective toolbox for you.
