Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, I do not take insurance, nor do I file with any insurance companies. However, I can provide you with an itemized receipt, which is called a “Superbill.” You can use this to file a claim yourself with your insurance company. This is the form they usually require. Please understand that I cannot guarantee reimbursement, so please verify terms with your insurance company prior to your first appointment if filing is important to you.
Do you offer virtual counseling? If so, is it safe/confidential?
Yes. I offer virtual counseling through a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. You’ll need a computer, tablet, or smartphone and a reliable internet connection. For your counseling to be most valuable and effective, I request you find a time and location where your attention and focus can be devoted to the session for the full 50 minutes.
I can only accept clients who are located in South Carolina.
Your bio mentions you being a minister. Does that limit who you will accept as clients?
Not at all. I welcome diversity including all races, sexualities, gender expressions, & religious beliefs. The counseling relationship is about you: your needs, your goals, your hopes. For clients who wish to include their own faith journeys in their counseling, I am comfortable going there, but I will not impose my beliefs or values onto my clients.
Do you only see women?
No. While my focus is on women in midlife whose unique challenges are often overlooked in the medical/mental health fields, I see adult clients facing a variety of concerns. If you think I might be a good fit for you, please schedule a no-cost consultation.
