Helping women navigate midlife with courage and authenticity

Therapy for women in “the middle”

While midlife can be filled with beautiful and meaningful milestones, it can also bring with it a variety of new and complex challenges. Women in midlife often find themselves experiencing peri-menopause or menopause symptoms such as increased stress, heightened anxiety, and intense feelings of rage or irritability. Alongside these physical and emotional changes, it is also common to encounter feelings of grief, fear and self-doubt, which can create a sense of disorientation and discouragement.

Here’s the good news – midlife is also an invitation to embrace new beginnings and discover deeper personal growth. It’s a unique opportunity to reflect, reinvent and move forward with renewed courage and authenticity.

What if your best years are still ahead of you?

What if midlife isn’t about fading into the background but stepping boldly into your next act?

Hi! I’m Marjorie, Licensed Professional Counselor and your guide to navigating midlife with confidence. Welcome!

As a woman in “the middle,” I’m aware it can be a confusing and sometimes frightening time. I’m learning, though, it’s also an opportunity for women to reimagine who we are and how we show up for ourselves and others.

In therapy, through reflection and curiosity, we can filter through what thoughts, beliefs and patterns of behavior are serving you and which you can put down so you can move through midlife and beyond with deep courage and authenticity.

Together, we can navigate the difficult moments, celebrate the wins and help you live into the truest version of yourself as you meet this season with confidence and joy.

You’re not alone.

  • Symptoms of depression and anxiety are common during the menopause transition.

  • Sleep disturbances (also common during midlife) can exacerbate or intensify these symptoms.

  • Good news! Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been proven effective in reducing the distress commonly associated with such symptoms and improving quality of life. (yay!)

Translation: You’re not losing your mind. I know it may feel that way, but you’re not alone in what you’re experiencing. Yes, the medical community has some catching up to do with regard to women’s health. However, the movement has arrived! Women in medicine and the community at large are stepping up and calling out for more research and better tools. Together, we can build the most effective toolbox for you.
